Hi!
If you're reading this, then I welcome you to my little corner of the Internet (or Geminisphere, depending on which browser you're reading this with).
Let me briefly introduce myself and tell you what I plan to be doing here.
I'm prizeclerk. I'm a simple person with a love-hate relationship with code. I'm not a progammer by trade, but I'm an amateur; it's something I spend many of my evenings doing.
I decided to create a page on tilde.club (I want to thank the people at tilde.club who made this possible. Tildeverse is an awesome and much needed thing!). I want to do two things:
- write blog posts in order to categorize and put into text my own views on several topics;
- work on a certain project and keep those interested up-to-date about its progress.
The _topics_ I want to write about (this list is not exclusive):
- the Internet
- life and human condition
- technological progress
- AI
- suffering
The _project_ I plan to be working on - I'll cover that in a subsequent post. It's something I already made actually, and have been using for more than a year already, so I decided to rewrite it from scratch (correcting several design flaws in the process) and make it open source and available for the public for use. I can't guarantee I will succeed (I'm an amateur, after all) - but I very much want to.
The HTTP version of this site is pretty simplistic, I might tweak the style a little in the future, but it's going to stay fairly crude. It's no big deal, I'm not trying to sell anything after all, I'm just publishing text.
Thanks for your attention.
